Flathead Soccer Camp 2009

The annual Flathead Soccer Camp will be held this year from July 19-July 31. Flathead Soccer Camp is a non-profit camp which helps fund Montana youth soccer, Miracle Field and provides training fields for our area players. Our goal is to provide a high level of training with our professional youth coaches from the collegiate and club levels. This year’s outstanding staff will include:

Head Coach:
Mark Plakorus from Texas Christian University. Mark is a USSF "A" licensed coach with former coaching experience at USAFA, U. of Iowa, and U.of Tulsa and is a Region IV ODP coach. He has played professionally and was a player/coach for the Colorado Springs Ascent.

Staff Coaches:
Lisa Oyen from the U. of Arizona. Lisa was a former University of Montana team captain and MVP, played semi-professionally for the Miami Glide (team captain), was an Arizona ODP coach and an instructor at the Manchester United Soccer Schools and Bobby Charlton Sports School.

Devan Anderson is the club director for the Samba Soccer Club of Cleveland, Ohio. He is head men’s coach for the Cuyahoga Community College Men’s soccer team He is a USSF "A" licensed coach, a former Region XII NJCAA coach of the year is a FIFA referee.

Michael Nsien from Oklahoma is a former professional player with the Portland Timbers and LA Galaxy of the MLS. He was a member of the Nigerian Olympic team and is currently a club coach for the Tulsa Thunder.

Drew Zeller from Cleveland is a current staff coach for the Samba Soccer Club as well as Men’s assistant coach for the Cuyahoga Community College Men’s soccer team. He is a former 1st team All-Conference, All-Region and 2nd Team All-American player at Cuyahoga as well as an All-American Scholar and Athlete at Walsh University.

Dianna Pfenninger from the University of Texas was the starting goalkeeper for the 2004 U.S. U-17 National Team. As a U. of Texas player she was NSCAA All-Central Div I 1st team goalkeeper, Big 12 All-Tournament Team, Big 12 First Team and All-District Academic Team.

Christian Porto is currently a club coach for the Tulsa Thunder and was a former collegiate player at the University of Dayton. Christian was born in Brazil where he played under world famous coach Zico with the Fluminense youth team. Was an Atlantic 10 First team All conference, All Region 1st team and All Ohio first team. He led his collegiate team in scoring and points. Played for the Fort Wayne Fever where he led them in scoring and points.
